I have already written a fair bit about guitars: about the first one, bought for my sister, and about the Telecaster from a flea market that I reach for most often. The room where I play does not belong to them alone, though, because I have more instruments at home than I need.

Keyboard
I play the keys rarely, once in a blue moon. I taught myself and never got good at it, but now and then I still sit down to play, as in the recording below of “Nothing Else Matters”.
Saxophone

I bought the saxophone because it was cheap. I wanted an alto, but by mistake I bought a tenor, which is bigger and pitched lower. I can play almost a whole scale, but apart from that I hardly play it at all, so I am much better at owning it than at playing it.
It does have one advantage nobody can take away from it: it looks good. I would rather have a saxophone on the wall than a painting, because I know nothing about paintings and they rarely impress me.
Harmonica, ukulele and a brief episode with the bass
The list also includes a harmonica and a ukulele. I bought them at some point because I was planning to learn, but I play neither of them, and I have absolutely no desire to sit down and practise. So they just lie there waiting.
There was also a brief episode with a bass guitar, but I got over that fairly quickly.
How much of this I actually play
If I had to sum it up honestly, it would go roughly like this: I play the guitar regularly, at rehearsals, gigs and weddings, and in November on several evenings in a row at the Zaduszki Literackie. The keyboard gets its turn once in a blue moon, and for now the saxophone is looked at more often than it is heard. The harmonica and the ukulele have hardly heard a note from me yet. The keyboard, the saxophone, the harmonica and the ukulele are a bit like guests in this room: welcome, but the guitar remains the host.
